Visit to Guarda, Portugal – September, 2014

Training of the trainers visit to IPG, Guarda, Portugal (9-12 September, 2014)

10 UA (KNUCEA, PSACEA, KNUCA, IALPNU, ODABA, DUDA, KRPI, KRONUAL) and 7 EU partners (POLIMI, IDBE,TEI-A, IPG, ECTI) took part in the meeting at IPG. The meeting was efficient due to Portuguese partners who provided program in accordance with SEHUD urgent needs dealing with Pilot phase training and platform for SEHUD e-training.

TEMPUS SEHUD meeting was welcomed by President of IPG Prof. Constantino M. Rei, Coordinator of International Relations Prof. Pedro Cardão, Coordinator of the UTC of Engineering and Technology Prof. José Carlos Almeida. Representative of POLIMI Tempus SEHUD project coordinator Nora Lombardini and Coordinator of UA Tempus SEHUD Universities Prof. Tatiana Sergeyeva introduced the meeting program and described state of the art. Nearly all work packages were covered by meeting activities.

WP1: 1) 10 UA trainers and practitioners gained competence in USD e-learning certified by IPG; 2) participants made acquaintance with methodology of IPG e-training process; 3) they visited IPG laboratories, USD issues were presented within 2 visits: 4) to the Guarda Urban Area including Polis Urban Park and historic center; 5) to Historic Villages in the area with explanation of their concept and focus in urban development.

WP2: 1) there was performed summarizing content development for each CU with particular regard to the contribution of EU partners as a result of the strategy developed within Saragossa meeting; 2) presentation of RSD books structure was made by UA experts; 3) UA partners presented template for RSD course books development; 4) POLIMI PhD & LLL curriculums were presented by EU experts 5) as a result of experts’ discussion it was decided to use proposed materials as a prototype for developing SEHUD PhD and LLL curriculums.

WP3: 1) strategy of USD e-training platform development was proposed by UA partners; 2) SEHUD Self-Developing Knowledge Base (SDKB) of RSD training materials was presented by UA partners; 3) PPT of RSD introduction lecture and 4) presentation of CU lectures were made by UA experts; 5) 14 templates of PPT for RSD introductory and CU lectures were presented by UA partners; 6) presentations of e-learning platforms (Blackboard and Moodle) were performed by IPG team, 7) platform for PhD profile was performed by POLIMI team, 8) IPG innovative IT technologies in architectural education were performed by IPG expert.

WP4: 1) strategy of SEHUD pilot phase was proposed by UA partners; 2) analyses of readiness to Pilot phase was made by UA partners and summarized in the format of 3 readiness tables of CU and SEHUD SDKB for piloting.

WP6: IPJ partners organized event aimed at SEHUD project promotion: interview with IPJ, POLIMI and UA coordinators by Portuguese TV.

WP7: prospects of SEHUD sustainable development were developed within SEHUD partners visits organized by IPJ partners: 1) visit to IPJ laboratory complex to make acquaintance with innovative technologies developed by Portuguese researchers in the fields connected with USD. As a result prospects of IPG-UA collaboration in the fields of common interest was created; 2) visit to IPJ library opened prospects of co-authorship in writing articled for IPG selection of works in the field of USD.

WP8: a range of coordination meetings were organized for solving problems of SEHUD activity: 1) meeting of EU-UA coordinators for solving key issues of SEHUD project; 2) 2 meetings of UA coordinators devoted to pilot phase and platform development 3) bilateral meetings of POLIMI coordinators with partners for solving specific problems; 4) meeting IPG Administrative Office and International Relations Office with POLIMI Administration for administrative issues. 5) SEHUD travel schedule was refreshed, 6) Lviv meeting program was presented. Plenary session was devoted to synthesizing the workshops and rewarding the certificates.
